Our next Service Community Event is being hosted by BT Final Mile group at their state of the Art Birmingham office at Snowhill.
The UK Service Community has been running for over 10 years. First set up by Steve Downton, it is now run as a community in the true sense of the word. Organised by volunteers, with no sponsors, no exchange of money, no legal entity, no hidden agenda’s, just real people talking about real things motivated by a desire to learn. The relaxed, informal yet pointed discussions mean that our members gain far deeper insights and more value than most other conferences or roundtable events in the UK.
June’s programme is no exception.
Simon Lawrence from Welbilt will look at an area many of us don’t consider, yet is a major service cost driver, the ‘final mile’ logistics.
Steve Gregson, Chief Service Transformation officer at Rolls Royce and co-chair of the Through Life Engineering council, will share his experiences of what to get right in service innovation. He will also facilitate a lively discussion on the “Support Service Leaders need to create sustainable Transformation, so that TES council can lobby Parliament for support.
Martin Prior, Service Operations Director at Fujifilm, will be providing some very hands-on insights into what it takes to outsource a Field Service organisation.
And finally we have a discussion with Chris Raddats from Liverpool University, who is one of the most active researchers in Service Marketing, on recent work he has conducted on Digital Service offers.
